I get so tired of dinner and a movie date night with the hubs. We don’t get to have alone time as often as I would like, but when we do get a night to ourselves, I like to change things up when I can. Two super fun and successful chains that I have come across that are in a lot of areas and could be great date night options are Urban Axes and Top Golf.
Urban Axes
My husband and I both had the opportunity to try Urban Axes for it’s grand opening in OTR. I could not believe how much fun I had! I didn’t really see the appeal and then I tried it and became hooked. It took some time…. like 30 or 60 (LOL) tries before I actually got the hang of it! However, once I did, I had SUCH A BLAST!
It reminds me of bowling. Not so much the sport of bowling, but that relaxed, fun vibe you get with bowling. You can sit back with that special someone, grab a drink and throw some axes! You can laugh at yourselves when the axes bounce off the walls and rejoice when you actually make that bullseye!
You pay for the hour so you can even grab some dinner or drinks after you are done. I can guarantee you will laugh, have fun and enjoy something different with your other half. You won’t be disappointed!
P.S. It’s just as fun with girlfriends! We all had an absolute BLAST being silly and throwing some axes!
Top Golf
My husband and I have been to Top Golf several times. Once for Valentines Day, once for a birthday party and another date night for us.
It is such a blast because you can go during any time of year. The heaters are amazing and keep you nice and warm. If you go in the warmer months, you can enjoy their outdoor bar and patio before or after you are done golfing.
I like that they offer food at the bay while you play, or if you want a more intimate setting, you can grab a table at the full service restaurant they have on site. They also have pool tables and foosball so you can make a night of it!
At the end of the day, it is always fun to spice up date night! We don’t always take that time for ourselves once we have kiddos, but it is so important!
