A New Culinary Experience at Kings Island 2018

Kings Island never ceases to amaze me. They brought back Winterfest in 2017 and ROCKED IT OUT! Now, in 2018, they have decided to totally raise the bar in their Culinary Department. Kings Island hired Executive Chef James Major, a two-time winner of the Food Network’s Chopped and a contestant on Cutthroat Kitchen and I was invited to personally try his newest creations and they did not disappoint. I gave you a sneak peek of all the amazing food that Chef James Major has brought to the park this year during my Facebook Live.

I mean does Kings Island do anything small??! Go big or go home right?! 

I bought the Meal Plan the very first year they offered it. I know they have changed it a lot since then, but one thing that is changing this year is the variety of food that is included in the Meal Plan. When I first bought one, it was an awesome deal, but I will say the food was pretty limited. Now, they offer SO many choices, and most of the meals are healthy and a true culinary experience. If you watched the live, you can see the amazing food that will be scattered around Kings Island and most of it is included in the meal plan! If you live close enough to KI, you could actually just bring the kids up for a show in the evening and have a gourmet meal. It doesn’t have to be about the rides every time you go because there is so much amazing food to try! Check out the extensive list below as to what is included in the Meal Plan!

Kings Island also added a new Coney Bar B Que to the park’s restaurant line up. This place is HUGE! There are 4 cashiers and 2 areas to line up and place an order so they hope to keep the lines at bay and get you through very quickly. They will offer various BBQ favs including St. Louis-style ribs, pulled pork, rotisserie chicken and Queen City Sausage along with a fresh selection of side dishes. I loved the theme which pays tribute to the early days of KI and Coney Mall. It has such charm by bringing in old KI pictures and a sign that is made with old wood from the Racer. This restaurant is open NOW, located near the scrambler, and on the Dining Plan!! 

I was really impressed with all the food we tried out and I love that Kings Island is always thinking of ways to make your experience even better. We live so close and I love that we could go up in the evening for an amazing meal and watch the fireworks if we want, without even having to step foot on a ride. 

They will also have a new flavor of Cotton Candy every Tuesday, along with some new Blue Ice Cream Merchandise! Who isn’t obsessed with Kings Island Blue Ice Cream?!
