I have been much more aware of my hair and how I “treat it” per se since using the Monat hair care line. I shared with you my honest thoughts and since using it, I have learned that I don’t have to wash my hair everyday. Honestly, I am lucky if I wash my hair twice a week…. I know, don’t judge me!
Why Don’t I Wash My Hair Everyday?
It’s just not great for your hair! There is so much research out there as to why you should NOT be washing your hair everyday- look it up!
It takes time for your hair to get use to this so you have to give it a few weeks. It may feel extra greasy, but trust me, stick with it. Use dry shampoo on the days you don’t wash and that will make your hair less greasy and more manageable. Once your locks get use to washing less, they will be happier and so will you!
Also, I am lazy. As mothers, women, friends, sisters, wives, our list is endless. I can hop in the shower and quickly wash, BUT if I have to wash my hair that just adds so much more time to my day. Not only washing it, but drying it. Who has time to do that everyday??!
VOLO Quick Dry Towel Cuts Drying Time in Half!
On the days I do wash my hair, I have been using the VOLO and it has truly cut my dry time in half! This is a bonus for several reasons:
- The less heat I can put on my hair the better. The VOLO Quick Dry Towel absorbs 10x it’s weight in water so by the time I start to blow dry my hair, it’s pretty dry. Less time with my hair dryer=less heat on my hair.
- It takes less time in the morning to get ready because I am not trying to blow dry really wet hair which frees me up to attend to my endless to do list
Why VOLO?!
I have used several hair towels over the years. A regular body towel wasn’t cutting it because it was just too heavy on my head. I started buying cute hair towels when I would see them at TJ MAXX, but I never felt like they absorbed a lot of water. My hair was still soaking wet when I would take it down from the towel.

- Large enough to use on my hair, but not heavy like a body towel so it’s gentler on my hair
- It’s been a huge time saver for me which is honestly my favorite thing about it!
- It has a nice thick elastic band that keeps the towel in place so I am totally hands free while I am trying to get ready. If you have ever used a body towel for your hair, you know how annoying it is when it keeps falling off!!

I know what you’re going to say. Ok you sold me, but it’s $39. Is it really worth it? YES! One of the perks I get as a blogger is trying out stuff and giving you my honest opinion. If I wasn’t sent the VOLO to use, I would be asking myself the same question. I have a million other things that I want to spend my money on. However, now that I have used it and have seen the difference it has made in my drying time, I would definitely say it’s totally worth it! It’s one of those things you only have to buy once and I would much rather spend my money on one super nice hair towel than multiple ones that are cheaper, but don’t really get the job done.
Overall, I was skeptical that a little towel could truly do what the company claims. I was very pleasantly surprised after using it, how well it actually works! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs more time in their life and those trying to be kinder to their hair. AKA= no more washing and blow drying those beautiful locks daily! Unfortunately, they are sold out on their website, but I found them on Amazon and it’s PRIME!
