The Next Chapter

Well…. we are in the NEW HOUSE!!! I have mentioned in previous posts how we were moving and really didn’t want to talk about it all until we were in… I felt like I would jinx it :) BUT we are in now!!

Steve and I had lived in our first house for the last six-seven years. It was a family owned home for the last 73 years! It was a great little house for us and then we started outgrowing it. Cody was born and it was even more crowded. We had been wanting to move for awhile, but with the market we weren’t sure if it was even possible. We put the house on the market a little after Cody was one and it took A YEAR to sell. Let me tell you that was no fun! Keeping a house in “show condition”, clean and tidy day after day with a toddler was next to impossible and very exhausting! Finally, we got the call that we had an offer and the rest is history!!!!

The next big task was trying to find a house that we love and close the day we closed on our house. We looked and looked for weeks and saw TONS of houses. None of them felt like THE HOME  FOR US until we went into this beautiful and unique culdesac house where we fell in love! We knew pretty much right away we had to have this house! After negotiations we got it!

Packing and moving were intense and busy. My belly is getting BIG and I am feeling worn down so I wasn’t much help with moving. Thankfully, Kim and my mom got all of my main rooms unpacked and organized!! I really didn’t think that I would need much help because I am so OCD that I would usually not let anyone organize my kitchen or bathrooms, but the day of I didn’t care!! I was so exhausted from doing nothing, my belly was tight and I was spent! Thank goodness for friends and family :)

Now, here we are, 5 days later and I call a new place home. I am on cloud nine and feel like I am living in a dream. I absolutely love everything about this house from the space, the layout, the neighborhood and location- it is perfect for us!! Cody is loving it too- he has done great with the transition and I know he will have a lot of friends in the neighborhood :)

SO here’s to my next chapter: new house and soon-to-be new addition to our family!! Exciting (and exhausting) times…. for everyone!!!
