Saving time during the Holiday Season with Kroger ClickList

by MHSjennie on December 21, 2016

I shared with you all a few times on social media and the blog back in November 2014 about Kroger ClickList. They launched the first Kroger right by me and I was big prego at the time with Bennett so it was the perfect time for me to try it out! I loved it SO much that I have pretty much used the service once a week ever since. I am ashamed to say, I probably have only been inside my actual Kroger store about 5 times since then…. I KNOW!!! Don’t judge me, but having 3 kiddos with 3 different schedules doesn’t allow as much time as I would like to peruse the grocery store.

Kroger ClickList

PROS

  • Number ONE pro: IT SAVES ME TIME! I can literally sit on my bum, turn on the t.v., heat up a cup of tea and eat my chocolate while ordering my groceries!!! Call it the ultimate form of laziness, but I say it is pure GENIUS! I can look in my fridge and my pantry to see what I am out of or if the kids need something I can come back and finish up my order later.

Kroger ClickList

You thought I was kidding!!! :)

  • It saves me money: I am not at the store putting random things (like…. DONUTS!) in my cart. I order what I need and that is it.
  • It’s Quick! You link your online account with your Kroger plus card so it will list your Favorites and all the items from your last couple of grocery trips. This makes it easy to add items to your cart that you buy every trip.
  • You don’t have to get out of the car! When you get there, you pull up and press a button. An employee will come on and ask if you have any paper coupons. If you have paper coupons, they will come out and get them from you and scan them inside before ringing you out. You can add your digital coupons on your Kroger Plus card like you usually do and this will come off as usual. I could see my savings on my receipt. All you have to do it pay! I have gone when it’s raining, cold, etc. and I just stay in the comfort of my own car!! They load it all up for me and I head on home.

CONS

Kroger ClickList isn’t perfect. My produce isn’t always amazing and if you go first thing in the morning, it can take a while for you to get your groceries. I have learned that if I go in the afternoon, my wait time is much shorter. Sometimes they are out of items and they may substitute it with a brand or similar item I don’t want. I end up just asking the attendant to swap it out so I have to wait a little longer, but its worth it! I get what I need and I don’t have to go into the store.

Overall, my experience over the last year and a half has been pretty good. The Pros outweigh the Cons for sure. Not having to cart my kids in the store and take potty breaks and fight them over not putting a million things in my cart is amazing!!! I especially love it during the holidays because it saves me so much time!! I am already running around doing so much and this is one less thing I have to fit into my day! WOOT! Happy Holidays! #krogercheerishere
