Sky Zone Birthday Party

by MHSjennie on August 16, 2016

If you have been following the blog for awhile you know that I usually do some type of a themed birthday party for the kids and we usually have it at home. Now that I have the three boys, I have to be honest, thinking of cooking, cleaning and organizing a theme birthday party makes me want to take a NAP! This summer we were in Florida for almost two weeks and flew home on Grayson’s actual birthday. Needless to say, I didn’t want to try and plan a birthday party amidst all that travel.

I decided to go with Sky Zone in Springdale. It’s a trampoline park that is open to the public, but also hosts birthday parties. They were actually voted Cincinnati’s Best Birthday Party Location by The Best of the North, as well as being voted Cincinnati’s Best Birthday Party Venue; Entertainment; Away from Home Party by Best of Parenting.  It’s hard for me to let go of the control, but knowing they came with such glowing reviews, I felt confident they would do a great job.

They offer two birthday packages, along with a few extras you can purchase including party favor options or Thank You cards! That’s right, you can even have them take care of the favors!!! That’s what I did so I didn’t have to worry about running around town gathering up favors to give to the kids. Grayson picked out the Sky Zone water bottles which they fill with candy and a tattoo. You give them the final headcount when you get there so you aren’t charged for any favors if some of the kiddos don’t show.

The facility is very nice and clean. As soon as you walk in the door, the party coordinators take care of everything. If you have decor, cake, ice cream or gifts, they take it all. All the plates, napkins, drinks and decor (if you bring any) they set up for you so it is ready to go when the kids walk in. With the package that we chose, you get two pizzas, but can order more if you want to feed the adults or have a larger party. The check-in process takes about 30 minutes so I brought some photo booth goodies to keep the kids occupied while they waited which they all loved.

For an hour, the kids can jump on any of the trampolines that are there. Below is the main trampoline area. What I love so much about this is there are letters on the wall that coordinate with ages and it is written on their name tags so a teenager isn’t going to being jumping with your 5 year old. I like those safety precautions!

They also have a basketball area with 3 different sized hoops the kids can play on.

This was one of my favorites…. the foam pit! You can jump off the trampolines and fall into the pit which ALL the kids LOVED!

You can also play dodge ball. This is in an area all by itself so they only allow so many kids at a time for safety purposes.

Once they have had a blast for an hour, the party coordinator leads you to your designated party room. You eat your pizza, cake and open presents there.

This is an example of what a room would be set up like.

I liked that they personalize it as much as possible. Grayson loved that his name was on a sign! We also had our party during the week so there was hardly anyone there. We pretty much had the place to ourselves which made it very private, personal and nice. I can’t speak to the weekends and what the crowd looks like, but I am sure you can ask when their least busy times are and book accordingly.

The birthday child gets a crown, a Sky Zone tshirt and two free passes to come back and jump any time.

I LOVED that I didn’t have to clean my house or organize a huge themed party this year. Our party coordinator took care of everything!! All I had to do was sit back and enjoy the party with my kids!

I would highly recommend Sky Zone for your next birthday bash! It was AWESOME!!!!

*I did receive a free birthday party at Sky Zone so that I could share my experience with you. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thanks for reading!
