Last week we talked about the Clean 15 and the Dirty Dozen on our post “Organic vs. Conventional”.
If you are on an organic journey, the next bit of information will help you out even more!!!

Jo, of Healthy Alter Ego, did an experiment on price comparison with organic vs. conventional items. You have to read her report on what she found!!! If you are looking for certain produce that is listed in The Dirty Dozen, and you can’t find it organic, try its nutritional equivalent and substitute it!

Want to eat healthy, cut down on your carbon footprint, AND support the economy???!!! Tis the season for Farmers Markets!!! Find one local to you! (thanks to mom, Shannon, for emailing us this link!) You can also find a farm near you where you can pick your own food! (thanks to mommy snacks)
Local to Cincinnati/Dayton… check out Mason Metu for farmers markets & farms with detailed info on each! You can also pick up the Central Ohio River Valley Food Guide which has a TON of awesome info on eating local, including local farmers’ markets, local vineyards & wineries, harvest guide, restaurants that source locally, local farms etc.

Don’t forget… you can also grow your own produce right in your backyard! We have both started on this adventure and will be posting more on our journey in the near future!!!

**Don’t forget to check out our Recipes page for healthy, family friendly food!**
