Saying Goodbye to Nap Time!

by MHSjennie on August 21, 2012

Saying goodby to nap time has been interesting for us – it seemed like we were practically done with afternoon naps about 6 months ago and then he hit a growth spurt or something because the poor kid just couldn’t get through the day without passing out somewhere…literally.

I really wanted to keep his bedtime around 7pm so I did want to cut out the naps but this transition has taken time. Now we are able to give him a nap if we know we’ll be out later but for the most part we are done with naps and bedtime remains around 7pm. I’m thankful for the 7:30am wake up time and trying to get as much sleep before this next baby arrives!

In the meantime, I’ve taken pictures of Luke during this transition of no naps with a few of the places he’s passed out…he cracks me up and each of these makes me giggle! Have your kids passed out in bizarre places out and about as well?!

I love the picture of him in his rain boots! Too cute! I miss that little man. To answer your question, Nathan recently passed out with an arm hanging over the railing of his bead with his head positioned on top of the railed…looked hugely uncomfortable but really cute!

This is SOOOO funny! Cody has never done this! The only place he has ever fallen asleep other than his bed is in the car and even that is few and far between! Although, he fell asleep on my lap at a restaurant once, but he ended up being sick with a fever….. Glad to hear you can get back to a good bedtime!!
