Guilty Pleasures: Cupcakes

by MHSjennie on December 8, 2010

We were invited to stop by Manna Cupcake Cafe in Lebanon, OH last week to try out some of their signature cupcakes! We had a blast and we left on an unreal sugar high! The boys had a lot of fun trying out the different flavors with us and we can’t wait to go back and get more yummy cupcakes!

Manna Cupcake Cafe is located in historic Lebanon, Ohio and proudly offers gourmet cupcakes, coffee, espresso, and tea! They have been open for a few months now, but have done quite a bit of work to their cafe, which shows! It has a great atmosphere inside, a place where you feel like you can really relax and stay a while. The staff are wonderful! They are so friendly and by the time we left we felt as though we’d known them for years! You can use the space for baby showers, bridal showers or even for birthdays! All they ask is for you to spend a minimum of $25 worth of product! (What a Bargain!)

Here are a few pictures of what we tasted, the Monkey Bread cupcake was our favorite!

You can see the variety above that we had the pleasure of sampling:

  1. Bon Bon: (we call this Death by Chocolate!) Choc cake, filled with choc ganache, choc butter cream, garnished with choc chips, dusted with cocoa
  2. Monkey Bread: (TO DIE FOR- our fav!) Cinnamon spiced cake with a brown sugar-cinnamon filling, cinnamon and vanilla swirled butter cream dusted with cinnamon
  3. Bismark: (this was the Manna Special of the day! They offer a new “chef’s choice” flavor each day in addition to their normal flavors) Vanilla cake with a raspberry filling, vanilla butter cream, garnished with a sugar raspberry.
  4. Classic Unfills: (meaning they have no filling) Vanilla cake with choice of vanilla or choc butter cream OR Choc cake with the choice of choc or vanilla butter cream

They offer several sized cupcakes to satisfy any craving!!!

We also sampled their amazing crumbles which is a great way to sample their many flavors. These reminded us of truffles and they were soooo yummy.

I guess you could say we LOVED it all! What a mess we made!

We loved the way the cafe has a homey feel. They have amazing antique furniture so you can get really comfy with your cupcake and coffee (or hot chocolate/ tea!). It is also fun for the kids to be able to see the baker in action thorough the glass window (shown above).  Another great thing about the cafe is that they are located right next to the train depot so the kids can have an up close and personal look at  a train while enjoying their cupcakes!

All in all, these cupcakes were amazing, along with the atmosphere! If you live anywhere near Lebanon, OH you MUST take a visit to the Manna Cupcake Cafe! You will not be disappointed!

We are always looking for new places to have little parties when we need to. That really is a neat idea and such a bargain. How many people does that space hold?

Ohhh… not sure how many. It is a smaller space, but it would be perfect for a baby/bridal shower etc. It really is such a bargain! I will try and find out for you and let you know!

Holly, they can seat up to 21 between their two dining rooms. If it's a smaller party there's some privacy in closing one of the rooms as well! Hope this helps!
