Our Next Chapter

We are SO excited to launch our new site and share in this new chapter with YOU! The reason we started this blog was to have an online mothering community for moms, regardless of where you are from or your background, to have a place to feel supported, encouraged and empowered. We live in such a fast paced world that it is hard to find time to always schedule those play dates, plan a kids class, or attend a moms group. We had a hope that we could create a blog that no matter the time of day or what your schedule looks like, you could plug into the virtual world and feel connected to other moms… laugh, cry, share ideas and get ideas on how to SURVIVE MOTHERHOOD!

Since then we have had a blast sharing our experiences, hearing yours, and connecting to all women; however, we had things we wanted to do with our site and our platform that blogspot just couldn’t do, unfortunately. SO we decided to move on…

This new site has the same theme, the same content and virtually everything that Surviving Motherhood is all about, however, we have tried to set up the blog a little differently in hopes that it will make it easier to navigate and easier to find the things you are looking for.

1. We have a navigation bar at the top of the page with links to all of our other pages. You can hover over each title to see what each page includes and then click on what you are interested in viewing.

• One of the pages we added that is different from our blogspot site is the Giveaways page. We will be announcing our current giveaway on Sunday on the home page like we normally do, but we will also have it listed on our giveaway page. We hope this will make it easier for you to sign up for the giveaway being offered at that time.
• We are SO excited to announce our next giveaway that is going to help celebrate the launch of our new site! Thanks to CSN Stores for participating! Please go to Giveaways for all the details and to get entered! We will be running this giveaway for close to two weeks so that everyone can get signed up for this awesome gift certificate!

2.   You will see on the right side of the page a bar listed “Search Categories”. This will be a way for you to search all of our posts by category so it will be easier to find what you are looking for.

3.   We have also tried to make connecting with us, and Surviving Motherhood a little easier. Located in the upper right corner of the home page are several buttons.

• We have gotten rid of our “follower” section and replaced it with a Subscribe button! You can now enter in your email address and get our posts delivered right to your email inbox!
• You can link to our facebook page through our “F”acebook button.
• We have just started a twitter account where we will be dishing the daily dirt so you can link to our “tweets” (I think that is what they are called J) through the “T”witter button.
• We have also started adding video to our posts and hope to add a ton more so we have a “You Tube” button, which will house all of our videos!
• Lastly, we are ALWAYS wanting your feedback, comments, and questions so please feel free to email us via the envelope button. Please share your thoughts and feelings with us or pass along a great tip you want shared in a post. We LOVE hearing from you! Please feel free to let us know how you like the new site, good or bad, and if you have any suggestions!

In conclusion, our first post summed up exactly how we feel. We hope that you will come in, laugh much and visit often! Thanks for your support as we transition to this new stage and thank you in advance for your patience as we continue to tweak the blog. We have many other ideas for this blog and hope we can turn them into a reality using this new platform. We want to continue to provide a place where we can come together and help each other survive motherhood!
