A friend of mine started selling Posh Cosmetics and gave me some samples to try. I love supporting local mommy businesses and could not wait to try out what she gave me! Since I only used the products once I can’t speak as to how they work over time, but I will say I was really impressed with the skincare regimen. I used the Delish face wash, Shine bright exfoliator, Calm Down mask, and then the Night/Day face moisturizer.

My skin has been super dry since I had the baby… I am sure it is all of the hormones, but after using the samples of the skincare, my skin felt AMAZING! It was super soft and all of my flaky dryness was G-O-N-E! I was surprised that it worked that well after only one application.

Now you all know that I look into my products and like the “no nasty” policy! I do believe that you need certain things to make your skincare work and I am not opposed to a Vitamin C serum or other anti-aging products, but I do like to try and avoid nasty chemicals when I can. As I looked into Posh more, I found that they are a more natural line and they do try to omit a lot of the nasty chemicals I try to stay away from.

Posh was founded to bring affordable everyday pampering to women and men who otherwise would not pamper themselves. It is meant to not take very much time, be just as high quality as the spas, not cost a lot and be used daily.

There are no Sulphates, parabens, Parafins, Or soy fillers and they do not use gluten. No soy means no greasy feel, and more product getting into your skin, staying in your skin and using product less often. No sulphates mean a little less lather, but since it is one of the most common irritants, you also get less side effects. Parabens and Parafins are petroleum by products and Parabens have been found in breast cancer tumors. They do not use manufactured scents, rather stick to natural ways of scenting their products. They use essential oils, flowers and foods (i.e. ACTUAL berries and lemons). While the company cannot say that they are 100% natural, they are naturally based and any “manufactured” ingredient has been derived from something natural and not made up in a lab.

I like that they try to stay away from unnecessary yucky chemicals and do what they can to keep it as “clean” as possible. I also like that they put all of their ingredients online for you to see. They are not hiding anything and I like when companies are forthcoming in that way. It is always a red flag for  me when a company is not willing to share the ingredients of their products!
