There were 2 things Cody wanted for Christmas: a big digger he could use outside and a glow pet. I liked the idea of the glow pet, but took it up a notch with this adorable Musical Turtle Nightlight from Tmart.com.
It was inexpensive and had a few more bells and whistles than the glow pet did. It lights up and projects stars and a moon onto the ceiling and has 4 different colors it displays. It has an automatic shutoff timer after an hour which I love because, or course, Cody wants it on to fall asleep, but I don’t want it on all night… can we say batteries are expensive?! So I LOVE that it turns off on its own! It does come with the option of a power cord so you can plug it into a power source to give your batteries a break, but that isn’t an option for us in his bunk bed. It has plays 4 different soothing songs which is great for creating a calming and relaxing bedtime.
I cannot say enough how much Cody LOVES this turtle!!!! He gets scared at night and doesn’t like to come out on his own so getting him to potty independently at night has been a battle. He calls for us to come and get him if he needs water etc. through the night. I have tried getting him little flashlights and none of them have worked. This little Turtle has given him so much confidence because it is large enough that he can find it easily in his bed, snuggle it or carry it into our room with the light display on.
The boys love to play with it during the day too! They take it into the bathroom and turn off all the lights. Who would have thought a light display on the ceiling and walls would keep them so occupied!! I have to say Santa did good on this one :) SCORE!!
I love this Tmart Night Light product and I love that they have all types of things for cheap on their website, including gadgets for under $1.99! Can’t beat that :)
