I have been thinking for a while that I need to organize all the cords in my house. I have piles and piles of them and when I need to charge my video cam, I have to sort through them all and try to remember which cord goes to that camera. It is a nightmare!! So what do you do to get a great idea (other than come and check out Surviving Motherhood lol!)???? PINTEREST!!!!
They had some GREAT ideas on how to get those cords organized and labeled. Many of them are just by using things around your house which I LOVE :) Recycling is the best!! I will certainly have to do some of the suggestions on pinterest, but for now I just used what I had on hand… address labels.
Take your label and wrap it around the cord. Label it with a thin sharpie and you are finished! Easy enough :)
This doesn’t even scratch the surface with the amount of cords I have! It is pathetic!
Slowly, but surely I will get it done. Although it seems crazy to organize cords, it really will make me sleep a little easier at night (I know I have issues)!

Another idea: if you have a bunch of things plugged into a power strip, especially around the computer: monitor, printer, etc, take the plastic things the put around bread, buns, etc (not the ties that you twist ) label them & clip onto each coed. Then you know exactly what cord goes to what if it needs to be unplugged without having to run cords to figure it out!
