Undercover Mama Review and Giveaway

by Jennie on October 3, 2011

I really thought I had everything I needed when I got pregnant this time around. I have the “stuff”… swing, bouncer, crib and so on. I was happy that I didn’t have to go through that “how many blankets and burp cloths do I really need” craziness like you do with the first and although I did have pretty much everything I needed, I have found a few things that have made life better and easier the second time around! One of those things is the Nursing Shirt/Tank By Undercover Mama.

As a breastfeeding mama, I have to say it is hard to wear all of your favorite pieces of clothing because you have to carefully consider what you are putting on so that you can have easy access to the girls. In the beginning with Cody, I use to be so embarrassed because I would lift my shirt up to nurse and there, for the world to see, would be my big old jelly belly hanging out! No one told me what I should wear for nursing and I certainly couldn’t afford to buy a ton of nursing tops. So I got hip to wearing a tank top underneath tops so I could at least cover my belly :) The problem with this is that I started wearing out my tanks and had to throw most of them out :(

This time around, I wasn’t sure what I was going to do… that was until I found the Nursing Shirt/Tank By Undercover Mama!!! This is a MUST HAVE for any nursing mom!! This company has taken the idea of wearing a tank to cover that jelly belly, but they created a top that doesn’t use the straps so you don’t wear down your tank in the process of nursing! It also creates one less piece of clothing to move away from the breast because the Undercover Mama attaches to ANY NURSING BRA!!! Yeah, I know, totally awesome right?! It is a little hard to picture so go to their website and check out their instructional video to get a better understanding on how it works.

What I LOVE so much about this product is that I don’t have to worry about what I am wearing anymore because I am nursing. I put my Undercover Mama on (I have a black and white one so they match everything and the have a ton of other colors too!), attach it to my nursing bra, and then I can throw on any top and head out the door. The tank is long enough too that it doesn’t ride up on my hips and it looks cute under any shirts because of the layering effect it creates. I really cannot describe to you how much I WISH I would have had this with Cody. I don’t know if other nursing moms felt this way, but I just felt like finding something to wear for the day was a struggle because I had to make sure that I could be covered while nursing. Now, I don’t have to worry about it all! I LOVE THIS PRODUCT and highly recommend it for anyone who is nursing or planning on nursing!
