We try to change it up on New Year’s Eve each year. We have went to parties, hosted parties, had quiet years with just us and even checked out some local fun happenings around town. If you are still looking for something fun to do with the family this year and ones that don’t include keeping your kiddos up until midnight, I have 2 fun places you can go! Newport Aquarium with Scuba Santa
Ring in the new year at a family-friendly holiday celebration under the sea. Newport Aquarium’s New Year’s Eve Kids’ Countdown is Saturday, December 31, 2016 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Children will have a blast with music, dancing, giveaways, hats, noisemakers and more inside Shark Ray Bay Theater.
At 5 p.m. Scuba Santa® will make a special appearance from inside the shark tank to lead everyone in an early countdown to 2017. This will be Scuba Santa’s last visit of the year!
**This event is included with admission to Newport Aquarium.
