Gates open at 3pm and they have several activities for kids including: face-painting, balloon twisters, live music, princesses, marshmallow roasting for s’mores, stage show and various competitions. When the sun goes down each participant releases a beautiful lantern and you will see thousands in the sky… how gorgeous?!
For all of you environmentalists, these lanterns are 100% biodegradable! Not to mention after each release they have professional “Lantern Chasers” and they collect 90% of the lanterns after the event.
Historically lanterns were used to symbolize good fortune, request favorable weather, or to celebrate the life of a loved one, just to name a few.

My girlfriend and I our always looking for fun new experiences to have together and we heard this would be a great event. we're both college students so we can't always afford cool activities like this! hope we can win!
