Ingredients
  1. I cup milk or coconut milk
  2. 1/2 cup orange juice
  3. 1 banana
  4. 2 oranges
  5. 1 apple
  6. 3 cups of baby kale or spinach
  7. 1/2 tsp vanilla
  8. 2-4 drops of Wild Orange doTERRA essential oil
Instructions
  1. Blend all together and enjoy!
Notes
  1. If you don't have a high powered blender, like a Vitamix or Blendtec, add your liquid and greens, blend and then add your fruit one by one so it is nice and smooth!
  2. I like to freeze my fruits and greens as they are going bad so that my smoothie is nice and cold. If you don't have anything frozen, add some ice because no one wants a warm smoothie!

I typically don’t like to add juice to my smoothies because of all the fruit you add anyway, but it is great if you are just starting out. It keeps it sweet and tasty, but as you get use to your smoothies, you can replace the juice with water and add more greens, but take baby steps! I want you to LOVE your smoothies and just to start making them is a step in the right direction! Don’t think you can’t make smoothies because you don’t have high powered blender! I have heard great things about the Nutribullet, which is under $100, or just use the blender you have NOW! My Vitamix is one of my favorite things I own and although it is an investment, it is SO worth the money. I make soups, desserts, smoothies, sauces and I chop and grate in there too so it really depends on your needs!

Also, depending on how “orangy” you want your smoothie you can add a few more drops of Wild Orange essential oil, but it is strong so start with 2 drops and go from there. If you don’t have any Wild Orange, shoot me an email and I will send you a sample to try or send me an email if you would like to hear more about using essential oils in your home! I like to just use water as my base  and if my smoothie has a strong “greens” flavor, I add a few drops of essential oil to change and enhance the flavor while also increasing my health benefits :) Woot Woot!

I would love for  you to share your favorite smoothie recipes with me!
