The holidays are crazy as is and the last thing I want to add to my list is holiday cooking! Call me the lazy chef, it ‘s o.k., I don’t mind :) I have got your covered here for an easy appetizer and dessert!
Cheesy Christmas Tree Appetizer
This is SUPER easy! I bought the pre-cut cheese, although you could cut block cheese into cute shapes if you want to go all out. The green is fresh Rosemary and add the purple grapes or red cherry tomatoes! Layer and put on a cute Christmas dish. 5 minutes tops!
Peppermint Bark
These are SOOOO easy and SUPER cute! You need a Brittle and Bark Mold and then follow the instructions:
- 3 cups of chocolate morsels (I did half semi-sweet and half white chocolate)
- 2 tsp of vegetable oil
- 30 hard peppermint candies or candy canes (I crushed mine with my vitamix)
- Place the chocolate in the microwave to melt.
- Add the vegetable oil
- Pour into mold and spread out evenly
- Sprinkle with crushed peppermint
- Freeze until set
I added it to these adorable North Pole bags or you could use Christmas cello bags from the dollar store. This is great for neighbors and teacher gifts!
