I was thrilled to review the Go GO Smart Wheels Train Station Playset. My boys love trains, building tracks and music so this was right up their alley. I was impressed with the 32 interchangeable tack pieces which can be combined into many different configurations so they don’t get bored of using the same track over and over again. Even my two year old can snap the pieces together to make the track what he wants which gives him his independence (and my little G LOVES his independence)! The tracks also connect to other Go! Go! Smart Wheels playsets (each sold separately) to encourage children’s creativity. I love when we can add to toys we already have!
The playset also comes with a motorized train engine and cargo car chug which drives around the tracks stopping at all the areas you create for it. These different areas (referred to as SmartPoint locations) include: a train station, conveyor-belt hill, bridge, tunnel, spiral ramp, track gates and track switcher allowing your kids to imagine all types of scenarios! You can even purchase additional Go! Go! Smart Wheels™ SmartPoint™ vehicles which respond to the 10 SmartPoint locations with different phrases, music or fun sound effects on the track.
The first day we opened the playset, my boys played for hours (no joke)! They both loved being able to change the tracks around and dancing to the music it plays! One thing I will say is that with all the interchangeable track pieces, it can take up a lot of room. We moved it from room to room and it is now on top of our wooden train set table. I would have a set area they can create the tracks or else you will be stepping over it in the family room!
