A Super FUN Date Night

by Jennie on June 11, 2013

It seems like the hubby and I  are always having to get sitters for group stuff we have going on. Someone’s birthday, a party that a friend is having etc. so by the time we are ready for a date night ALONE, we have used our sitters up! We have been trying to get better about making time for just the two of us so we turned our free Reds tickets into a night out on the town :) We just celebrated our 7 year anniversary (which we both forgot!) and we have been together for about 17 years. That is a LONG time so it is a necessity to keep that spark alive baby!

I am pretty obsessive when it comes to my kids so I hate to say it, but we hadn’t even had a night away from the kids since before I got preggers with Grayson…. yes, I need to let go a little I know :)

My hubby wanted to be within walking distance to the stadium and the bars/ restaurants. I can’t remember the last time we could both drink while we were out! We stayed at the Millenium, which was nice, but it was an older hotel. The Westin, Hyatt, and Millenium are all close to the stadium so I would say where ever you can get the best deal. It was a nice walk and we were near everything. We started at the pool to have some drinks and then to Crave restaurant for some dinner and sushi. This place was AMAZING! I have literally been craving it since we went :) Everything from the beer to the food was FAB! I would highly recommend it! We then went to the game, had some beers and lots of laughs including me yelling the wrong name of the other team!). After the game, we checked out  a Piano Bar which was fun and danced the night away at Mynt Martini. I fell for my hubs when we went dancing so we had  an amazing time.

What I loved most about the date is that we celebrated the city we live in. No matter where you live, look to find the hidden gems and explore them! It was nice to be away from home and the kids, but still be within arms reach. It made me feel more comfortable and mama was able to let loose!

Love that hubby of yours and celebrate your lives together…. we deserve to get away every now and again!
