The Little Nibble Tray!

by Jenny Combs on February 27, 2013

You know how it goes, you get on Pinterest to look for a recipe for dinner or a craft to do with the kids and what do you know, hours later, you are still pinning away! (BTW – can you believe that the word “pinning” is now part of our vocabulary?)  So one night when I was wasting precious late night hours exploring Pinterest (hours that I should have been using for sleep) , I came across this little gem!  Whether or not you have a picky eater, I think this is a super creative idea to get any kiddo to try some new foods while having fun!   Little foods for little fingers in little containers = FUN!   Turns out this is from a blog called On To Baby.  You could use ice cube trays, muffin tins, cake pop trays – get creative!  Remember, we should aim to eat the “rainbow” so make sure to pick foods representing as many colors as possible.    Here is how to make a “Little Nibble Tray”:

Love it! I do this with the sectioned plates. My kids are always beggin for lunchables… ugh… so I make my own with lunchmeat in one part chz in another and a fruit or veggie or chips in the other part… I also have been buying veggie and fruitparty trays from Sams for us. They love them and will snack on them and it is so easy for me and they are not bad price wise at Sams. When I have time I make my own. But lately time has been a problem so it is fast easy and healthy.
