Great right? Well, not so great for little boys who have to do EVERYTHING themselves, including picking out which coat he wants to wear. It has been such a big help that Luke is old enough to get himself ready and into his car seat while I am getting Emma in her car seat and trying to get out the door. It saves me time when Luke can get himself in the car, but I noticed this Fall how much of a problem it is that Luke can’t reach the coat hooks in the mud room. I asked Julian to hang two sets of hooks lower down on another wall in the mud room and I can’t tell you how much easier this had made our lives! It’s the little things, for sure. Luke hangs his hooded sweatshirts there too so he can help himself to getting his coat on and he’s also responsible for making sure his coat is hung up when he gets home so it doesn’t end up thrown on the table (which drives me crazy!). Win-win for everyone! Eventually there will be little pink coats hanging here with Luke’s blue and camo!
How do you organize your warm weather gear?!

Great idea! I put hooks down low on the backs of thier bedroom doors for their robes! They love that!
We also love the hooks for towels but you're right – great for robes too!! :) if you don't want to drill holes the stick on hooks work great!-Kimberly
I just wrote about this on Monday! I love my Hobbitt-size hooks and each kid has a cubby. Here’s the post.

Ooooh! I didn't think of bins underneath for shoes – GREAT idea! Love that! Its funny how happy these things make us and our kids (and husbands) look at us like we've officially lost our minds! Its the little things! Thanks for sharing! :)-Kimberly
