Kim and I both use and LOVE Mama Mio products. I have blogged about the Boob Tube (everyone has to have that just for the name!) and the Mighty Moisture and I truly love them both. Of course, after the great results I got from the Boob Tube, I am bummed because I realized it is one of those things I would have to buy forever to keep my girls perky…. yea, smart company :) I have also been using the Clean Slate face wash and I am in love with it as well. I guess I just need to start saying, “Mama Mio, take me away!”
You all know I try my best to steer clear of harmful chemicals and although I don’t do it 100%, I feel like Mama Mio is one of those companies that strives to make sure that their products don’t contain a lot of nasty chemicals. Every Mama Mio product is paraben free, petroleum free, phthalates free, sodium laureth and sodium lauryl sulphate free, colourant free, synthetic fragrance free and xenoestrogen free. I love that those are all the biggies on my list to watch out for and I know that regardless of what I try from Mama Mio, I don’t have to worry! NONE of their products contain any of those nasties!
Since most of the cleansers I have been trying lately don’t have the SLS in it (which is what makes things lather) I feel like I am missing out on something. I love when things lather and for me it just feels like it makes things cleaner :) This cleanser does lather and you only have to use a TINY amount for the entire face which I LOVE! It is priced at $32, BUT when a little goes a long way, the actual bottle lasts forever. I have been using mine for 2 months now, every day, and I am just now at half the bottle. Pretty good I think. You really can’t use too much because it is a pump and you can get a feel for how much you are going to need. I usually use one pump on a no makeup face or two if I am taking makeup off my face while washing it. It smells DIVINE (like calming lavender) and what I love about Mama Mio is all of their products smell like REAL fragrant essential oils, not like some of the cleansers on the market that have fake fragrances in them. Every time I use their stuff, it brings me back to being pregnant with Cody and it was the one part of my day that I loved, because although I was uncomfortable and big being preggers, I felt like I was going to the spa in my own bathroom :) O.k. so this mama doesn’t need much to make her happy, but for realz it was awesome!
You can read all about the product here and get the scoop on the ingredients. I do feel like it put moisture back into my skin and I noticed a difference in my skin clarity and “glow” within a week. This is one of those products I will go back to again and again! The other thing that is adorable about the clean slate is that it comes with a little book of confidence which contains 60 seconds of face fitness. Cute! You can tell they really believe in treating your skin from every angle!
Overall, loved the product and I would highly recommend it. At this point, I have tried so many of their products that I highly doubt anything would make me frown with them at this point. What has your experience been with Mama Mio? Are there any other cleansers you are enjoying at the moment??
