I am now 37 weeks and 5 days (nearly 38 weeks!) and starting to wonder when this little girl will decide it is her time to grace us with her presence! Luke was 3 days late so I’m thinking it will be right around her due date on the 24th of September. I finally packed my bag for the hospital last weekend after stopping by Blue Cocoon and getting a few last minute things!
I absolutely fell in love with the adorable hat for baby girl and have heard amazing things about the Motherlove nipple cream! I also had to get a few things for my breast pump, including these nifty Pumpin’ Pals flanges that are angled and supposed to be more comfortable to nurse in because they are angled so the milk flows straight down and you can sit in a more comfortable position while pumping. The breast pads are home made locally with organic bamboo fleece! The blue nursing PJ’s are SUPER soft and comfy from Cake Lingerie. I am a huge fan of anything from Cake – every night I have been sleeping in the Cotton Candy Seamless Nursing Bra and couldn’t live without it! I also got a Simple Wishes hands free pumping bra which will come in handy when pumping…I love this brand because it is SO versatile. It has an adjustable velcro back so as you change size from engorgement through losing weight months later it is super easy to adjust. It has multiple strap versatility as well as an optional front zipper expandable closure to ensure the fit is perfect for you! Who knew there would be so much invented around making us Mama’s more comfortable while we feel like….a lactating cow? Oh the joys of motherhood.
What did you pack in your hospital bag that you just couldn’t live without?! Blue Cocoon has all the latest and greatest for everything you need during pregnancy and beyond! I wish this store existed when I had Luke! The best part is that you can actually talk to Ashley who has great experience helping to support breast feeding Moms! I can’t wait to take the Tummy Time class once baby girl is here, something I didn’t get to do with Luke because there was nothing local to us.
My next post will include pics of the finished baby girl’s new room…completely transformed into PINK heaven. :) And I also want to include pics of Luke’s new big boy room that he’s been in since May and loving it! We had a few last minute touches to do in both rooms and so happy with BOTH outcomes!
