I’m an AUNT!!!!!

by Jennie on November 18, 2011

Although I vomit out all my personal stuff on this blog, I try hard not to tell all my family and friend’s business :) I didn’t mention that my baby sis was preggers, but now that she has had the baby I wanted to share some pics with you!! I was SO excited to find out I was going to be an aunt and even more excited when I found out she was having a girl! I LOVE my boys and was so happy to have another boy so they would be lifelong pals, but now that my little sis was preggers with a girl, I could have my cake and eat it too! I can have my boys and then do all the girly things with my little niece!!

Needless to say I am SO excited! I threw a shower for her a few months ago and we celebrated in PINK :)

Diaper Cakes make great centerpieces, serve as decor and make fun gifts you can personalize!

If it is planting season you can print off labels with this cute wording and give away seed packets

Use leftover baby food jars & make (or buy) bath salts. Tie a ribbon around the top and print a cute label to finish it off!

Look at the generations: Grandma, Mom, Daughters and baby Sklyar in tummy

Then, this Monday, little sis went into labor. I had the privilege of being in the room for the birth and saw baby Sklyar as she came into this world! That just never gets old!!  I am such a proud Auntie!!!

gotta tell ya……i got a little misty-eyed reading your post!!!!! Congrats on the newest family member and you are right~~~it never gets old!!
I have four sisters~~AND four brothers, and each new addition to the family is a constant reminder of just how lucky we are and how precious life really is. Bringing a new life into this crazy world we live in is a scary thing……but when the child is brought into a family where there is love and a sense of togetherness~~~all is good!
God Bless to all of you….
~~~~and now I'm missing MY baby!!! she's living in Turkey for a year, teaching, and this will be my first holiday without her….
thank God for family to help me get through!
All the best……
I am so glad I got to be a part of her shower. You did a wonderful job and the cake pops just made me drool a little bit… DELISH! I love the pic of Sara and Skylar… is she sucking her thumb? Jared and Sara are going to be great parents… ok now I officially feel old!
Thanks for sharing the pics… can't wait to meet the new beautiful princess!!
Thanks ladies!
Diane- your comment was so sweet. It really is so true…. life is so precious and the little ones really make you appreciate everything! This world is crazy and I just pray every day that God leads me on the right path so I can be a good role model for my boys. Although life is exhausting right now I am trying to live in the moment because I can't imagine when they are grown and out of the house (and living SO far). I hope your holidays are still filled with joy even though your baby will be far!!
A- thanks girl! She is sucking her thumb already! She is SO adorable and Sara and Jared are doing a great job already as parents!
