Don’t Nip It or Suck It, Simply Mother Tuck-It! Mother Tucker Nursing Tank Review

by Jennie on September 29, 2011

I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with the company Belly Bandit for some of my post pregnancy needs. Not only do I LOVE the product, but the company itself has been great to work with. The tank I initially received was a little to snug on top and the company was so nice and sent me out the next size within a few days, no questions asked! It is hard to find good customer service these days so this really stood out to me!

I was very aware of how my body was going to look and feel post baby. I have said before on the blog that (for whatever reason) I just thought my body would bounce back to what it use to look like post Cody and unfortunately, it didn’t!! With a brand new baby, I was lucky just to get a shower and some rest here and there, so working out and getting my body in shape was the LAST thing on my list!

This time around I have been getting much more sleep and the newborn stage just hasn’t been near as difficult so I was itching to make it to my 6 weeks and start working out again! Of course, even if I make the effort to diligently get my body to where I would be happy with it (because you know that it won’t ever be like it use to!) it is going to take some time.

SO I have found an amazing product to use in the meantime!! The Belly Bandit “Mother Tucker” Nursing Tank is “designed in an ultra-soft breathable knit, The Mother Tucker™ nursing tank has been engineered to offer exceptional underwire-free support, slide-over cups for discreet nursing access, and not one, but three strategic zones of compression to flatten your belly, tame muffin top and battle back bulge.  Signature details include a 3” anti-roll bottom, tummy flattening center and extra-wide straps for superior shoulder comfort.  When worn consistently, this Mother may help postpartum stretch marks by containing loose skin, as well as perfect your posture!” I have been using it under my clothes and WOW does it make a difference!! Not only do I have the much loved and adored “jelly belly”, but I have the beautiful “back fat” and glorious love handles!! Yes, my mid section is gorgeous (!) let-me-tell-you!! Lol! Anyways, I digress :)

Mother Tucker Nursing Tank... Nice and Smooth!

I love their motto for this product: Don’t Nip It or Suck it, Simply Mother Tuck-it!! I want this for the name alone! However, since trying this product, I can tell you it is much more than just a snazzy name. The compression tank smooths out all my lumps and bumps. Say goodbye to back fat and tummy bulges and hello to a smooth midsection! Can I ask for anything more?! It’s like an optical illusion… I put it on and my tummy looks nice and tight, I take it off and well….if you have ever had a baby then you know what it looks like! Another thing I love about the tank is that it has a band at the bottom that is anti-roll.  This allows it to stay nice and snug and in place so I don’t feel like I have to keep pulling it down to stay on my hips. Lastly, it has some great support for the “girls” so I can opt out of the nursing bra if I choose. The plunging v-shaped neck line allows for easy access for breastfeeding and the fabric feels oh-so-nice on my skin!! I am not sure if the top was meant to be worn by itself, by I only feel comfortable wearing it under another top because it is a very plunging neck line on my frame.

Overall, this compression tank is amazing for any post pregnancy tummy or for anyone who wants to smooth of that midsection.  I know for me, and most women, feeling good in your clothes is a huge confidence booster and the Mother Tucker Nursing Tank has done just that for me!  Thanks Belly Bandit for giving me some happy!!!

To check if you have separated muscles do this simple test. Lie down, fold your arms across the chest and try to do a half-sit up without resting your elbows. Observe if the upper-central part of the tummy goes in or rises up as a mini-mountain. If it rises up, your muscles are separated.
