The Enquirer’s deep local connections to, and understanding of, the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky communities will help DealChicken effectively serve both merchants and consumers and build long-term relationships that last beyond a single daily deal. In fact, DealChicken has already been highly successful in building brand awareness and delivering a loyal following of repeat customers for local merchants in Phoenix, where the service launched in September 2010.Additionally, merchants have the opportunity to promote their local deal and business through print and online advertising with The Enquirer and Cincinnati.com.

“As a part of the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky communities for more than 170years, The Enquirer is committed to the long-term growth and success of the merchants we do business with,” said Mark Woodruff, Vice-President Market Development. “DealChicken provides another way to promote our great local businesses and all they have to offer consumers. DealChicken representatives understand the neighborhoods and blocks where Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky consumers live, work and shop better than anyone else. Deals are specially selected for local consumers by our staff to deliver unique deals and experiences that help them discover the very best of our region from restaurants to adventure tours and getaways and more.”

About DealChicken: DealChicken is a unique, digital daily deals offering from Gannett that will provide consumers with great local deals and offers from local merchants in more than 50 markets across the U.S. by the end of the year.

Since I haven’t used this site yet I can’t personally vouch for it, but it seems similar to a groupon, living social etc. which I LOVE :) I think these types of sites are wonderful for the consumer (b/c you are getting a great price for a service) and for the business merchant (because they can get the word out about their business). It seems like a win-win to me :) ENJOY!
