We Both Read – Beginner Readers

by MHSjennie on December 30, 2010

We’ve recently gotten into some fantastic books with both our boys. They both love to read, and most of the day we hear both the boys asking us to read their favorite books! If I’m getting ready in the morning, I always ask Luke to go into his room and read his books. He knows the routine now and it keeps him busy for quite a while, thankfully. I remember when I was pregnant with him, I had NO children’s books and now I feel like they’re taking over our house but it’s great seeing Luke get so excited and using his imagination. Now I just need to invest in a couple of nice book racks to keep them all organized!

No age is too young to get kids reading books, which is why we’re so excited to spread the word about We Both Read books. The parents and kids take turns reading, and they have a number of different levels to grow with your child. They have an amazing selection of books for kids and they even have numerous resources for parents and teachers. It’s very clear the company that manufacturers these books for children are passionate about what they produce.

Their website is overflowing with great information, including all the rewards, reviews and research that’s been done on the We Both Read series. If you’re interested in trying to get your kids to participate in reading, try these out and you’ll be impressed at how easy it is for kids to pick up early reading skills as early as 18 months! Both the boys started reading their Level K books a couple months ago and have loved all the books we’ve tried which also include the K-1 level. Here’s a short video of Luke reading with Julian and also Cody and his daddy.

It’s easy enough for even the little ones to get exposed to reading by hearing the words in context and then seeing the picture they can relate to and ultimately learn to relate the word with the picture. Here’s a couple other pictures of the book from the Level K, which is their first level in beginner reading. You can see the parent’s page to read on the left and the children’s page to read on the right has one or two simple words for them to read. They also have We Read Phonics, Half and Half and Photo Adventure Books. All of which are explained in great detail on their website.

We haven’t heard of these until recently, and have only seen these sold online so we wanted to pass along the information to you on how to order your own! Each book is $4.99 and you can request a free catalog here. We love how affordable they are and have been very impressed by their customer service. For your convenience, we’ve also added them to our aStore. You can also go directly to their website here. Happy Reading!
