Happy Holidays

by Jennie on December 24, 2010

Christmas is here and Kim and I have both been running around like crazy women trying to get all the last minute things finished up before Santa arrives! I am especially looking forward to seeing Cody on Christmas morning because he is almost two and I think he will actually enjoy opening up his gifts (last year he was still crawling and it was all about ripping the paper… and chewing on everything)!

Looking at this picture (which was taken almost a year ago to the day) I am thinking of just how much my little boy has changed and grown. Time sure does fly by!!! Although I am completely exhausted after wrapping gifts and cooking holiday dishes, I am SO looking forward to spending some QT with the fam, listening to the Christmas music and taking in those little special moments!! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and Kim and I both wish you all the joy of the holiday season!

We wanted to include a few things for those of you looking for some last minute ideas to complete your holiday list!

  • With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, we ALL know how hard it is to find the time to finish everything that needs to be done and Christmas cards are just another thing to add to the list! Not only does it take time to fill out the cards &/or pick the pics you want included, but it costs money to purchase the cards and the stamps! Thanks to mama, Holly, for sharing this great idea with us! You can make your own digital card for FREE! You can add anyone to the list and send them out your personalized digital holiday e-card! Holly included a personal family message and pics of the fam! It was adorable! This would be great for those of you who didn’t have the time to send out any cards! You can make one today on photobucket, send them out and your family and friends will get it instantly… no waiting on the post office!
  • Another great last minute gift idea is make your own gift basket, without the basket! Thanks to my adorable sis-in-law, Kerstin, who always has the best ideas!!! Instead of filling the usual “basket” with gift certs, crackers/cheese/sausage, wine etc. find out something else they are needing and put the gift in that! ie. a nice mixing bowl, casserole pan, or even a laundry basket filled with towels, and other household goodies. I LOVED this idea when I heard it because who needs another basket… really?! What is great is you can find a lot of these things at your local grocery store, even gift certificates! So run on up to the store and pick up those last minute gifts!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
